Up Up How Much?

It used to be I would look at my fuel costs when I filled my vehicle and shake my head.  Now I shake my pockets to see if I have any more money to get a half a tank of gas!

I had never paid $90.00 to fill my Avalanche, up until this week.  This problem has been something that should have been addressed years ago.  Now when your back is against the wall.

We have a sputtering economy with most middle class families struggling to maintain their jobs and put food onKick while you can... the table. Add the pressure of gas prices and the focus on home values is secondary to surviving each day.

I don't usually comment on political issues.  I keep my thoughts to myself even when I think something is truckload of manure!

Look up Saul Alinsky and see what you find.

Kick me while you can but remember I kick back, should be our new motto.

The gas prices, gas mileage, our power grid all could have been handled on an on-going basis.  We didn't, need and don't need an immediate fix.  We do need some reasonable people that look out for America.  I am in favor of term limits and getting rid of most of congressional professional politicians.  They don't work for Americans, they do however work for themselves, in my opinion.

We need to have real results before grocery prices become so expensive the middle class and lower income families have to make choices between bread and milk or gas.

This fall it is time to vote change, not race, not party, not special interests...vote America into a results oriented working congress and President.  It's time to step up...VOTE for Results!

This isn't don't ask, I'll tell.  It is time for everyone to step up.  The silent majority has been silent to long.  Be the vocal majority for a change.

Remember be tolerant and post your opinion within good taste please, so others can participate without feeling intimidated.

Gas prices are ridiculous!  I cringe every time I fill my tank nowadays.

You make a great point about the silent majority...the far left and far right fringes of the American political system drown out the voices of the middle. It looks almost certain that gas prices will go up to $5/per gallon some point this summer. The question is how much higher if any higher--$4 or $5 isn't good but $6 could be outright disastrous and could threaten the economy that is in many other ways showing many signs of significant improval. At the same time, as a fellow-SUV driver, I feel your pain but at the same time I almost hold myself somewhat responsible when I see $70+ gas bills when I fill up my tank compared to $35 in my wife's newer Honda. These gas guzzlers are also, and have been, money guzzlers as well. Maybe I'll go electric next time...
