Merchant Circle anyone?

By
Mortgage and Lending with Credit Werx, LLC.

I did not realize until recently just how cool merchant circle is. I signed up yesterday and I have written a couple of blogs recently that can be viewed at http://www.merchantcircle.com/blogs/Christopher.Ohlsen.866-562-6930. Merchant circle is really geared toward local activity which for all of us is great. I have invited several companies to join my cirlce and I have had several accept so far.

Every time you write a blog or perform certain activities on the MC you ear ad dollars, not sure what they can be used for yet but I will figure it out. Any members here? Maybe some of you know what ad dollars can bes used for.

I recomend that all of you join merchant cirlce if you are not already a member. I'd also like to hear from any of you who have had positive experiences with MC.

Wow, Christopher!  This is starting to sound a little addictive to me!  Ad dollars?  That could suck me in!  I'll check it out though.  Sounds like a good idea for local schmoozing.

Patricia - LOL, just like points which I see you have many:)Definitely check it out though, as we all know real estate markets are local.

Karl - Already since joining I have 5 business's that have joined my circle. It is very cool to interact with other local business's. In addition when you have relationships with local business's it is very easy to expose yourself to that business's customers.

Merchant Circle sucks. Google them, don't take my word for it. They send deceptive spam telling you that someone has left a review of your business, but it is just a pitch to drive traffic to their site. Lots of complaints about this scam outfit.

Merchant circle can indeed kiss my ass as well. They've left numerous voicemails on my business machine indicating someone reviewed my business, but when I was stupid enough to take time out of my day to investigate there were no reviews. I honestly do feel this is a cheezy start-up just looking for maximum hits so they can sell their little "merchantcircle.com" turd to some VC firm in the future.

Philip - I have seen a lot of bad reviews. I have personally been using them. they do try to solicit me an awful lot... They promise to get me ranked at the top of Google and Yahoo. I do receive messages from them but I have not had that kind of experience yet. Every time they have sent me a message saying that someone left a comment or review for me it has proven to be true.

J Latus - I have never received a phone call from them. I am wondering if their service is contingent upon the geographic location. Merchant Circle is very popular in my Market area. I have closed 2 loans in the past 3 months for people who found my information on Merchant Circle. Also, I have found another useful feature to the site. Since customers can go onto your profile directly and leave a review for you this is a great way to conveniently collect testimonials. Lately after I close a loan I send an email to my client with a link asking them to go to the site and write a review for me. So far I have only gotten one review but I just thought of this last week and have since sent out an email to everyone whom I've closed in the past 12 months asking them to do the same thing.

PS: if you ask for people to leave testimonials at MC for you make sure to tell them in advance that you will be copying and pasting it all over the web.

Merchant Circle is bottom of the barrel...their marketing/spamming of cells phones is DISGUSTING...go Google 'merchant circle complaints' to see what everyone is talking about.

Carter - I have googled them and found a ton of stuff about them indicating the same thing that you are indicating. However, in the area that I live Merchant Circle is very popular and it does offer additional exposure for free. As bad as the press is circling Merchant Circle I happen to like it. So far this year I have done around a million that came in as a direct result of my presence on Merchant Circle and the B2B networking that my presence on the site has offered. Also, my cell phone has never been spammed by them. I understand what you are saying but I am saying that MC does work if utilized correctly... and if you are being spammed think of that as the cost of the listing...
