What Does the Pet Project Contest Say About Us?

Who could say more than  In my opinion, these posts speak volumes about the character and caliber of agents and any real estate consumer would be very fortunate to work with them.

Good morning Mona. As one of your judges I have read all of the entries. I was moved and educated throughout the process. That said I was more impressed by seeing that the posts continued yesterday, after the contest was done. Clearly this contest touched a nerve and the Active Rain community is filled with many fine folks who value animals as much as business. You can be proud of that, my friend, I know I am.

Mona, this was hands down the best contest ever.  And, as Sheila pointed out, I, too, have continued to post to the group.  I hope that others will continue to post to the group long after the contest has ended.  It is a great spot to share information, stories and photos of your "other" family.

I can't tell you how much I appreciated being able to participate and finding this group of wonderful caring people. 

Good luck with the judging, but even more so with continuing the group!

Pets are such an important part of our lives. I have always loved having a four legged friend waiting at home.

I agree, Mona, and think that the contributions to the contest - whether entries or comments - really highlight the caring spirit of our professional community.

Mona, as Ron said, this was a really successful and FUN contest.  I am not really competing, but I wanted to participate anyway.  You have picked some excellent judges who really took this seriously.  Nearly everyone commented on each of my posts, and that is a huge plus for everyone. 

My hat is off to all of you for the time commitment that this has taken.  And, I hope, too, that it remains a viable group with people continuing to post to it.  I love reading these contributions!

Mona,  This was the best contest by far.  It's nice to be among people who share a common love of animals, people who don't think we're nuts because we consider our pets part of the family.  It's a comfortable feeling, almost a feelng of being home.  I hope that doesn't sound crazy.  People who understand when we go out of our way to find someone a condo with a 75 lb dog or make a trip to the doggie dermatologist.   I think this is who we all are; it's in all of us.   I've enjoyed making new friends here.

This was one contest I truly enjoyed participating in. It was great to read of other people who support groups dedicated to the rescue and welfare of animals. And to all those who love and take care of their pets.....may you live long and prosper so that more animals can be loved and cared for.

It was fun to participate in this one which is something I rarely do.  Congratulations to the winners whoever they may be.  The entries were great to read.

Having read all the posts Mona I was highly impressed with the kind hearted nature of all the writers and people. I knew this would be true about them of course, but the sheer outpouring of love for animals and pets amazed me.
