“There is nothing new under the sun.” Or is there?

“There is nothing new under the sun.” Or is there?Whether you attribute the idiom to the Bible or Shakespeare or any other ancient source, the notion of “been there, done that” has been around for a long, long time.

But the real estate business has been in a state of flux the past few years and we as real estate professionals are often taken aback by something that we have never seen or heard before throughout the years of our previous experience.

We learn something new every day, and are often forced to forget it in a very short period of time.

There are few epoch epiphanies. More often than not changes are more like brief experiments that poof up suddenly and then burn out quickly.

As long as we know “how to learn” and remain open minded we can roll with the punches.

Each day is a new educational opportunity ready to be seized.

We just have to take advantage of it!

Richard - this is an excellent reminder to all of us to keep our minds open and willing to learn.  Thanks for a little early morning insight!

You live and learn.  And live and relearn.  And live and learn something else!  I hope you are well dear Richard.  xxoo

Love this post!  I tell my kids this all the time...you never stop learning.  If you do, you just stagnate.

Richard -

Indeed times are constantly changing and we must stay educated.  In fact I have a half day class today on some changes that I'm looking forward to learning about.

Great post Richard... I'm a true believer that the questions are way more powerful than the answers. Especially these days (as you say) we often learn things that are hot at the moment yet soon replaced. I like your writing because you so apply lead by example. You're a very curious guy and I enjoy all the stones you turn over to find what's under. Thanks...
