BRIARWOOD, BERKSHIRE, ROUNDTREE AND PINE TIMBERS in Johnson City, TN are close together and typically people want to see what is available in all four, they want the convenience of being just the right distance from the I-26 corridor for an easy commute, and near shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. There's enough variety in price in each subdivision so higher-end buyers may see properties in all four as well as those who want something in the $250-$350,000 range.
People exclaim about the mountain views. I especially enjoy showing in those neighborhoods because I can see my house on the other side of State of Franklin from many intersections and a few back yards.
First-floor bedroom suites are on many buyers' wish list. In these four neighborhoods at this time (April 2012) there are five - three between $500,000 and $650,000 and two under $300,000 - the one where I hope to meet you and two others. Granted, the more expensive ones have big basements (unfinished) spectacular gourmet kitchens, and other luxury feaures, but come see this one if you want a master on each level, great space and charm. The upstairs suite is larger, but the main level one is good size and the flexible plan is especially good for several generations sharing a home, which does happen often these day.
There's one unusually low for the neighborhood - just over $200,000 for three bedrooms, two baths and no basement, but if smaller suits your need, here it is in a great area for a small price.
Three in the area are in the $300-$400,000 range, and three are between $500,000 and $650,000.
I can sometimes make available properties that have gone off the market but whose owners still would like to sell. for one reason or another, since often those sellers still would like to sell. Because I have several friends in these neighborhoods,I know of two properties that may be coming on the market shortly that you'll want to know about if you like this area - and you will when you see it.
