Image of Elvis Seen in Diner Near Asheville.

ASHEVILLE -

Unsuspecting real state clients out looking for "green" pastures like the one pictured here, about a half hour north of Asheville, North Carolina were astonished today when they noticed an image of Elvis in photographs taken by their REALTOR®. (see below)

Armed with pen, paper and maps, and still wearing their land-hiking duds, they had stopped for a tasty meal at Dino Pappas' Areopagus Bistro
a favorite diner of their guide to the mountain lands in Mars Hill, North Carolina.

They had selected potato skins and Greek salads after jotting down notes on all the absolutely gorgeous acreages they had seen (as per the photo to above) and were preparing to bring a report to their eco-investment group on the trend toward eco-development in Western North Carolina, when their REALTOR®, a lady with an "amusing" sense of humor, snapped the shot ( below.)

The REALTOR® demurely declined to comment , but did offer to email images of Elvis to the entire land-scouting group.

Of course, we quickly checked at the Chamber of Commerce of this small village of about 2,000 to verify any other sightings We were told that the history of Madison County can be explored at the Rural Life Museum on the campus of Mars Hill College, but were assured that Elvis has not been seen in Mars Hill for some time (if ever.) No matter.

Great fun and productive time was had by all.

I love Mars Hill-used to attend the high school choral clinics there many moons ago-when the only restaurant in town was the Yellow Submarine. =)

PHEW. it took me a while to find elvis in the picture. I was wondering what was going on.

I never get tired of Elvis sightings. Right up there with Virgin Mary or Jesus sightings. Look, my potato chip looks like Jesus! It must have been sent by God!

He looks flat! LoL

Elvis Lives! The entire period during which somebody is, has been, or will yet be alive.

At age 103, I can remember when we first saw THAT! Boy, they sure didn't make 'em like that at our school!

John..sell that image on EBAY! WOW a "new commission" strategy :-)

Maureen..As you know, Elvis is not obviously apparent to many...you really have to look for him...and he may surprise you when you least expect it. But all good humor is worth the effort, eh?

Chris...I heard of a sighting at the beach not far from you there in Bonita Springs. ..of course it all simply may have been a mirage.

hi Carl..Elvis looks "flat", eh? For a singer of his talent, that could be very threatening.Luckily all he needs to do is get a ride with the humorous REALTOR who sapped that shot of him. She travels to backways to surrounding mountains via the Blue Ride Parkway almost daily, and that will certainly add some zest to his countenance.

I'm hoping that same "insight" can inspire my eco-wise clients.It wouled be nice to think that when Elvis would have been 200, a piece of the Appalachia he loved would still be viewable by his fans.

Looks like Elvis may have lost an argument with a steamroller? Do they serve pancakes at that restaurant? :-)

If you look at the ledge that the TV is sitting on, Elvis is standing on the same ledge. This Elvis happens to be a life sized cardboard (2 dimensional) statue that the restaurant has standing next to the TV. That is my logical explanation to this yet another Elvis sighting. Good blog. Very fun!

JudyAnn...I met Elvis' cousin once and even she couldn't believe her eyes. 103? I doubt it.

I saw Elvis a few weeks ago in Hawaii. He was walking down the strip on Kalakaua Ave in downtown Honolulu at around midnight. I would have never known it was him but he had his sunglasses on!

David and Tonya...I notice that there have been quite a number of Elvis sightings in Hawaii..must be some excellent real estate there, too...
