A very popular annual event series, and one of the best entertainment options of the summer, is coming your way in Carlsbad in just about 4 weeks.
Carlsbad’s popular TGIF Jazz in the Parks series starts June 29 and will continue on 9 consecutive Fridays in 3 beautiful Carlsbad parks, with 3 consecutive concerts per park.
The FREE TGIF Jazz in the Parks concert series - the 27th - is always well attended, with several thousand enjoying the great outdoors, al fresco dinner on chairs and blankets, and a wide range of live music.

July 20 – Steve Lucky & The Rhumba Bums featuring Carmen Getit (Jumpin’ Jive & swing)
July 27 – B-Side Players (World and reggae)
August 3 – Madame LeRoux & Krewe+ Euphoria Brass Band (New Orleans R & B)
Calavera Hills Park (2997 Glasgow Drive at Carlsbad Village Drive)
August 10 – Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars (Afro-pop and world)
August 17 – Ruby & The Red Hots (Jazz and blues)
August 24 – Johnny Polanco Orchestra (Salsa and Latin Jazz)
The quality of the bands at TGIF Jazz in the Parks has always been excellent and this year should be no different.
Because of the crowds and parking, be sure to arrive early to find parking in the surrounding neighborhood areas. There is plenty of dancing, some food options if you don’t bring your own, and lots of raffle prizes sponsored by the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts which help to fund these free concerts and other arts events during the year.
