The Real Estate market Update for the Metro Baltimore area ~ April 2012

The local Real Estate market in Central Maryland had a strong month in April 2012 with increased sales and more buyer confidence. As a region, the Baltimore Metro area showed great improvement, but this is not fully indicative of the strength of the activity in the Howard County market. Sales were certainly up across Howard County and many homes that were priced well, sold quickly and  over list price with sellers being able to choose from multiple offers. It was almost like the crazy market of yesteryear with buyers needing to make a strong offer very quickly.

The popularity of desirable Ellicott City with buyers relocating into the area with jobs in the medical field and expanding government agencies at Fort Meade was more than evident in April's housing market statistics. Home sales in Ellicott City for April.
