Wonderful Way to say Thank You to our Troops!

By
Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services

For all of you travellers out there, let's do this!!!!!!!! As I watched this, I was really moved at what a simple gesture can do for someone. Please thank our men and women for their unbelievable sacrifice! You will feel wonderful.

I lost two great friends and classmates in the Viet Nam war. I wish they would have had an opportunity to receive thanks from the American people. I will cherish their memories always and I have vowed to never let an American uniform pass by me without saying "thank you" from the bottom of my heart !

That is great - thanks for sharing! I am passing this one on to everyone. I'm so glad we are taking better care of our soldiers at this time in history. Hopefully we have learned a lot from the past. They deserve to know we are behind them and grateful for them - excellent idea and an easy gesture to learn.

Have a Happy New Year!

Thank you, Dawn. I was in college during Viet Nam and I never bought into blaming the men and women who risked their lives for over a year, for an un-popular war at home. When the United States is at war we are ALL at war, was the way I was raised; they are all heroes.....have a great year, Dawn!!!

David:  This is so powerful.  I wish I could say thankyou when I see one of our troops without tearing up.  Even this video has me crying.  I love the gesture and I've never seen that before when greeting our troops.  It was a very shameful time, in my opinion, in our country during the Vietnam Era when some blamed the troops and treated them so badly.  How could anyone ever, EVER blame our troops!  I hope every one of those people feel very guilty about that today.  My brother was in the Marines during that war along with  two of his highschool friends.  My brother came home briefly to serve as an honor guard for one of those highschool buddies who had fallen in the war.  We've never gotten over it.  In memory of:

Stanley Ur, Private First Class  (and a first class young man too!)  Thank you Stanley.

Donna, thank you for the wonderful comment! I am honored that you would use this post as a memorial for one of our brave, fallen soldiers. I also lost two class mates in Viet Nam. I went to Wash. D.C. and etched their names from the memorial. I will never forget!!!!

God Bless Our Troops!

Thanks for the video- I know too many people who lost loved ones to this war... after all these years it still feels too fresh.
