Multiple Offers 1 Week After NH Home Staging Consult
It's the call all professional home stagers want to receive... the call saying the house they just worked on has received multiple offers in the first week.
Another quick sale for Rye, New Hampshire Realtor John Rice of Tate & Foss!! I'm happy to say that John suggests a Home Staging Consult to all his new listings.
This particular seller was easy to work with, and followed every suggestion to guarantee their house was show ready.
The area needing the most attention was the dining room, the first room buyers saw upon entering the house.
Prior to it's "makeover" this room had an identity crisis. It was part Victorian, part Seaside Shabby Chic....a little Country, a little early American. There was far too much going on for any buyer to appreciate the positive features of the room.
All those years of keeping the table covered finally paid off.
Removing the tablecloth revealed a beautiful wood finish.
After removing everything from the walls and mantel,
I decided to go with a seaside/beach look.
Colored glass bottles and birdhouse on the mantel.

Shells in a bowl on the table.
I suggested they paint over the gold frame on the mirror with black paint. I also suggested they paint a gold chest and old lamp with black spray paint and buy new lamp shades.
It's hard to appreciate the transformation in these pictures.
It was far more impressive in person.
Bottom line: Multiple offers first week...closed the following month OVER asking price!!
