Bassett's Fine Food & Spirits, Poolesville, Maryland
The restaurant that is really an institution in the Poolesville community is Bassett's Fine Food & Spirits which is commonly known as Bassett's or Bassett's Restaurant. Local residents know that the owners, Leo and Betty Bassett always promise a positive dining experience.
Home buyers and home owners love Poolesville for the small town atmosphere that is available within Montgomery County. Those of us that live in Gaithersburg pass through Poolesville each time we travel to White's Ferry to cross the Potomac River to the Leesburg, Virginia area. The countryside is very pretty and there is much to explore. Many new homes are being built in Poolesville and they will bring new families to enjoy the benefits of the community.
On Saturday, Dolores and I were visiting Poolesville for the Montgomery County Heritage Days and stopped at Bassett's for lunch. I took a few photographs to share with you.

Hi Roy and Delores,
Looks like Delores is asking when lunch will get there.
I'm glad you share all these neat places. Many of these places would be overlooked by visitors to your area if not for your posts.

Roy-I am glad you and Dolores had a nice lunch at this wonderful and fun place. Your wife is a beautiful lady and that is a great pic of her. I can see why you have been married for I think you said recently in a post 47 yrs. Wishing you many happy outings and many more years of wedded bliss.
Roy,
Great localism post but then all of yours are and I do not think I have ever seen a picture of your bride of 47 years. You guys seem to have a lot of fun together that is what makes a marriage work! I hope you are having a great week. My hubby and I will be off late Sat or early Sunday to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary no gifts just travels! Take care!
Good Afternoon Roy, Very nice localism post. I would love to sit on their outdoor seating area. Have a great day.
Roy - Bassett's Fine Food and Spirits sounds like THE place to be to relax and enjoy a little together time. I enjoyed seeing the photo of Delores.

Hi Roy,
I like your pictures of Bassetts and we got to actually see Dolores. Small town restaurant like this I am sure has some gret eating food to select from.
What a great write up for Bassetts and love the picture (finally!) of Dolores!
