This home was a challenge for me from the beginning. The short sale was complicated by two factors: the borrower is deceased, and she was a little person so a good part of the home was retrofitted for her stature. I was lucky enough to have a very smart, and very cooperative estate representative handling the short sale on the borrower’s behalf. Although the beginning was a bit rough because some of the lender’s reps just didn’t know what to do with a file where the borrower is deceased, as soon as we got on the right path, it was pretty smooth from then on. We were able to get a cooperative short sale approval before we even listed the home. Jenise and Ray Hinds were just super agents to deal with on the Buyer’s side. They worked very well with us, and were very sweet to boot. Luckily they brought in a first time home Buyer that was able to see past the fact that the home was retrofitted for a little person and realized what a great deal this was. She has a lot of work ahead of her, but she is very excited to be moving into her new home, and we couldn’t be happier for her. We were very fortunate with the people we worked with once again. I’m so happy that the estate representative is able to take this weight off her shoulders and just relax a bit. Best part was that I was able to negotiate with the seller's lender to give the Buyer a contribution, and give the estate representative a cooperative short sale incentive (which we were very happy about because she handles her deceased friend’s affairs for free).
