While thinking about the homefinder.com makeover challenge, I went through my long list of to do’s (i.e. things I know I should be doing, but haven’t yet gotten my butt in gear.). I’ve got all the regular items on there...make more phone calls, get back in the habit of blogging daily, time block, etc. But I’ll leave out all of that here. Those are just a given and I’ve promised myself I’m doing them OR ELSE!
The one thing I would like to improve in my business above all others is to finally take it to the next level. I don’t want to just do alright, I want to be FABULOUS! My regular list is essential to being fabulous so I’ve already committed to that. The homefinder.com makeover challenge seems like the perfect time to unveil my plan for total domination...or as I like to call it...
Phineas & Ferb Take Over The Real Estate World
I have been mulling over and tweaking a plan for a new team concept for a while now. The kind of team that appeals to the more independent minded “I don’t want to be under anyone else” type of agents. I’ve even written an entire draft of a team manual and team associate contract. I’m pretty darned excited about it too!
You know how there are some people you just click with? Well there is one in particular in my office and we have been tossing the idea of finding some way to collaborate off and on for a while. We’ve even referred to ourselves as the Phineas and Ferb of real estate (although we still argue over who gets to be Phineas...I think I’m going to lose that battle.) Why Phineas & Ferb? Well, I’m not a fan of cartoons, but I have to admit I love those guys! I love their can do attitude, how they think REALLY big, make the most of every day, and don’t ever let disparaging remarks get them down. Of course, Phineas is just the beginning. Once we co-found the team, I am confident that we will attract plenty of compatriots to bring this thing together and push everyone’s business to the next level. I love it when a plan comes together!
Ironically, as we started to talk about the idea again, we both started to get too busy to meet and actually discuss the idea in person. I’m excited and anxious to get this off the ground, so I think a little cyber stalking of my would be partner in crime is in order. Yes, Lisa Hicks thinks she is Phineas. So how about it Lisa? Ready to go? Let’s get to it and rock this market!
My new goal is to get this rolling and scratch, claw, or maybe just catapult to the next level. Did I mention I really, really, really, want LISA HICKS to be a part of this?
Hey, while we’re at it, perhaps you all could help me cyber stalk Lisa (pleasantly of course - after all, she is an awesome person.) Just a nudge here and there. You know, the usual. Little messages on her facebook wall, tweets directly to her, active rain messages, etc. Let her know it is time to take the plunge! It will be FABULOUS!
