It's Blueberry Time!
I love this time of year again when the blueberry bushes are bursting forth with indigo goodness. I love spending the morning picking berries with the family and although it's about 90 (hello, didn't I just LEAVE this weather?) we are having a great time and are picking fast to get in under the shady tent.
Since my backyard was a jungle when I returned to it just 2 weeks ago today, I bought a blueberry bush to replace the one that misteriously dissapeared in our absence.
Seriously, these berries are huge and after we came home with over 10 pounds of juiciness I was welcomed by my box of good from the nearby organic farm that I missed so terribly.
What is it about the Pacific Northwest? The freshness, the water, the mountains? It's all part of the charm and I am giddy with excitement to be back amongst my "green".
So, stocked with a surfeit of blueberries (there's your word for the day) and an abundance of harvest goodies, we head into the weekend, full and very regular!
