LOL...I've been to that address before

tone on tone patterned carpet white plainsLast night I got a call from one of my favorite real estate agents.  She told me she has a pending sale and her buyer wants to visit the house one more time....and she asked him if he wanted her to make arrangements for a flooring person to be there.  (Gosh, I have to love her...she's looking out for her client and for me).

This is in a nice condo complex in White Plains, and we've done a bunch of work there.  When she told me the address, I paused as it sounded familiar - not justhe street, but the # too.  I asked her who the seller was, and of course it was one of my customers from over 4 years ago.  How cool is that?

The agent said she couldn't remember how the floors were/what was needed...but of course I remembered.  I said she has oak in the kitchen entryway, but not the living room.  I told her the 2nd floor has a soft beige tone on tone carpet with small squares in all the bedrooms, hallway and steps, but it was not in the bonus room/office as she couldn't afford that yet.  The agent said, "Oh yes, that's right."  She said the carpet looked fine, but now that she has moved, my client may feel differently - we will need to see.

This will now be the 3rd home I have gone to under 2 different owners.

It appears that you have developed a very high market share for that area.

Lenn - Well we've done several.  Bt, it's a large complex.  I think the key is working w/ more and more real estate agents.  There tends to me more turnover here...as this is often a starter home and then many will move to a larger house.

Yes, it is very lucky.  And, LOL, I think I may know the broker who listed it (and I think you may, too).

When you remain in business and keep building your reputation, this is bound to happen more often. I was in real estate in this small town for 19 years - and either listed or sold some of the same houses 2 and 3 times.
