Prince William County was discovered by Captain John Smith in 1608.

As we study the county's history we realize the original families maintained a presence here for many generations.

Visits to the historic cemeteries throughout the county provide the evidence and fhe Glascock family of Oak Hill cemetery is a prime example. It is located on Minnieville Rd at the Prince William Parkway - the historical highway marker is on Minnieville.

As you can see it is a rather large cemetery, the grave markers date well into the 20th century and it appears well maintained.
