Conventional Financing? You Don't Know What You've Got 'til It's Gone

By

Please disregard the peaks and valleys we've been shown over the past few years.  The bigger picture here are the overwhelming cash sales which are outpacing conventional by two to one.  The gap is widening also with conventional financing meekly sliding away.  Are lenders being too safe and simply can't underwrite or don't wish to underwrite anything with even the most remote chance of failing.  I am so thankful that there's still plenty of cash around to make the market churn as it has for the past 2 years or so.  Forget about FICO scoring and saving your credit scores when it comes to Real Estate just say BUY, BUY with cash or is it really BYE, BYE to financing.  It kind of looks that way doesn't it!

Alexandra, the loans are still here although it's interesting to see more and more contracts not be subject to financing in the traditional sense.

John, you're welcome.  Will conventional financing become extinct?  No, however to many, obtaining it will become increasingly more difficult.
