Good morning William -

A bright summer flower on a chilly fall morning.  They say our last growing day will be today.  We have a cold front moving in tomorrow with a high of only 50.... Brrrrr... I'm not ready for that but it could be worse.  These highs of 80's have been working great for me as well as our plants.  We will be enjoying our yard today before the cold winds do a number on it.

Wlliam I am always sad to see summer fade...here at the Jersey Shore we're getting into our Nor'easter season...lots of rain, wind and flooding!  Thanks for the summer reminder!

Lovely looking last vestige, William. Summer is waning even here. It's supposed to be in the 40's in the am next week. Brrrr.

William, beautiful image, I live the crisp yellow against the more muted - almost cool feeling - background! Enjoy your day!

Funny thing, William!  After trying to capture leaping and running deer the last few weeks with my little point and shoot camera, I decided the last couple of days to dig out the Nikon D90, and take pictures of flowers and still life.  It is so refreshing and relaxing to photograph things that stay still and don't move:-)

My dad would have loved your yellow posey.  He had an almost insane adoration for flowers in vivid yellow!

William, I'm confused...I thought California was like Florida in that there is never a last vestige of summer although the title was certainly poetic, as is the photo.  Have a great weekend.

Hi Mona, Me Bad, I should have explained where this was. It was taken at the Sierra mountains near a waterfall and 5 days after I took this, it was covered with snow.

You can always get my attention with a beautiful flower photograph.  We have enjoyed a mild October and our flowers are still blooming in Kentlands.  The dahlias and the Gerbera daisies are beautiful today.

Have a great day and an outstanding weekend.

Beautiful photo, as always, William.

By the way, those purple pepper seeds will go directly into the ground, no prepotting needed with this climate.

Have a great weekend!
