Has business been getting you down, or do you just need a break from life? This party might be just what you need!
San Diego Beer Week is actually a ten-day countywide festival from Nov. 2-11, 2012, that promotes San Diego’s thriving craft beer culture and serves as a showcase for San Diego's breweries, restaurants, pubs, and alehouses with ties to the craft beer community.
Now in its 4th year, this year's festival has a staggering array of beer events, at last count over 360 of them, throughout the county. There are Tap Takeovers, Beer Brunches, New Releases, Pint Nights, Brewery Tours, Beer and Food Pairings, Beer and Cheese Pairings, even a Beer and Dessert Pairing.... are you thirsty yet?
The first San Diego Beer Week event is a Karl Strauss Tap Takeover in the South Bay starting at 7am on Friday, Nov. 2. Can't get up that early? Then maybe the Rare Beer Breakfast at Stone Brewing Co. in Escondido starting at 9am is more your style.
The official kick-off of San Diego Beer Week is the San Diego Brewer's Guild Festival at the Broadway Pier on Saturday, Nov. 3. This afternoon event will feature over 100 San Diego Craft Brews, food from Guild member restaurants and brewhouses, music, entertainment, and a perfectly beautiful 75 degree day.
So if you find yourself with a little extra time on your hands in the next week, come visit San Diego and enjoy the beautiful fall weather, have some great brews and a terrific time!
