There have been a lot of crazy weather patterns around the country and we're not immune to any of them either.  This front is expected to roll in on or about the 19th of November.  Even with the temperatures we typically have at this time of year the atmosphere is prime for snow making.    If you are going to be heading our way during this week you're best advised not to bring your snowboards, skis, snowshoes, flexible flyers or snowmobiles.  The predictions estimate that snow will be reigning daily through the 26th with a high degree of certainty.  The accumulation is anticipated to be minimal however the entertainment value will be at it's maximum.  If you are compelled to wear boots during the totally historic event we urge you not to utilize mukluks or galoshes to adorn your fashion style.  Amazingly the forecasters also have the exact time that the snow starts to fly on historic Third Street South, precisely 6:20pm on November 19th.  Join us for an Atmospheric Extravaganza!

Kevin,

You are funny, more likely we would have snow in the mountains...although the last time we were in Naples, it was really cold, and at the airport tarmac in Fort Myers, there was ice patches on the ground...LOL  A

Yes, two years ago was a long cold winter here although no real snow was predicted Alexandra.  These snowflakes on Third Street South are more of the tropical kind.  You could say a kinder, more gentle precipitation than the real thing.  My last true Florida snowfall was in Vero Beach in 1979.

Sometimes we get snow up at Mt Charleston in October but so far nothin yet here.  A real front did move in today and our highs will go from the 80s to the 50s.  Time for me to pull out the sweaters!

Broker Burrows, I have to laugh when I look at my sweaters in the top of the closet.  I put them there about 22 years ago and they haven't moved since.  Heaven forbid I ever get rid of something!
