I've can proudly say I've successfully closed many sales for friends, although I do so with caution. In my experience, they typically require more "hand-holding" and need more re-assurance throughout the process that they are receiving great care through an experienced agent (and team). My advice - be as upfront and honest as possible about the value of their home and what you will do to get it sold.

Hey Jim,

This is a touchy subject especially for family.  On the one hand as an agent you want to be available to help family and friends so they get a great deal.  On the other hand there are expectations that go beyond what you do or say when dealing with a 'regular' client.  For some it works...for others its better to bring in an unrelated party.

Happy New Year!
