ANOTHER MILESTONE HIT IN AUSTIN TEXAS

A milestone is defined as any population that ends with at least four zeros. The Austin metropolitan statistical area’s population hit 1,870,000 on Jan. 3, according to Business Journals' On Numbers analysis. As of Jan. 1, On Numbers estimated the MSA was 355 people away from its milestone.

The entire state of Texas is booming. Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio also hit milestones this past year. Why? There are many but here are a few; TEXAS HAS A 1 BILLION DOLLAR RAINY DAY FUND ( to ensure it can operate through difficult economic times) TEXAS HAS NO STATE TAX (to ensure it is attractive to new business) TEXAS RUNS A FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT

( In the last legislative session, state lawmakers closed a $15 billion budget shortfall without raising taxes, opting instead to cut spending to match available revenue.)

In the decade since Texas deregulated its electricity market companies have spent 41 billion in new generation transmission capacity.

At a time when many states are struggling financially, Texas is booming. If you would like to know more about Austin Texas living contact me at: alan@alaninaustin.com

Your lucky that Texas is big. How else could you put up with that many people. Chicago could afford to send you a few.
