Not sure what boot hockey is, but PD vs. FD would always be fun to watch.  I bet they go at it.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.  The boot hockey tournament should be fun.

  1. Obtain a tennis ball. Preferably on that's a bright color, such as orange or pink so it doesn't get lost in the snow, but Boot Hockey is traditionally played with a green tennis ball.

  2. 2
Get a group of friends together. 6-10 players are a good amount. Make equal teams with the number of people you have.

  3. 3
Get four big pieces of snow. These will be your nets. Set each net up, about 8-15 meters away from each other, and space each post about a meter and a half apart.

  4. 4
Boot Hockey Attire. Traditionally, Boot hockey is played with winter boots, snow pants, a long sleeve t-shirt tucked into your snow pants, and a balaclava. Only goalies are allowed to use gloves.

  5. 5
The object of the game is to score points on the opposing players net, kicking the ball in with your feet. Only goalies are allowed to use their hands, and body contact is allowed. Grabbing, Shoving, Tackling and Tripping are all legal. Goalies are allowed to pass the ball with their hands to a player, but that player has to drop the ball and continue playing when he catches the ball.
