With the aging of the baby boomer population and most of them approaching retirement age, there is an ever increasing pool of seniors that are ready to sell their homes and downsize. They love Rockland County and all it has to offer but no longer want the responsibility or the work that comes with owning their two story large sprawling homes. The Views at Pomona is located at 970 Route 45 in Pomona NY. It's just down the road from exit 12 on the Palisades Parkway and is convenient traveling distance to just about everything that Rockland County has to offer. It consists of 58 units spread over two three story elevator buildings, the first of which was completed in 2011 and the second which is slated for completion in May of this year. The development is purposely small, its size serving to encourage warmth and a sense of community among-st its residents.
All the units at The Views are single level 1-2 bedroom apartment condo's with either 1, 1 1/2, or two bathrooms ranging in size from 925 square feet to 1481 square feet. The units are currently priced from $269,000 to $419,000. Each unit contains an inviting entry foyer that opens to a spacious living room with access to either a balcony or patio. The kitchens are all state of the art with designer appliances beautiful wood cabinetry and granite counters. Green building techniques were used to create these energy efficient units. There is ample parking on the premises with covered parking spaces in the area between the two buildings (but, sorry, no garages).
There is an active 2663 square foot community center located on the second level of the rear building. It contains a gym, business center, conference room, kitchen and multi purpose room. The facilities in the community center are also available for your private use as well. There is also a community swimming pool with a 1000 square foot pool house containing men and woman's lockers and changing rooms.
The Views is just a short ride to shopping and right near Palisades Parkway exit 12 for easy access by car to both New York City and New Jersey. For those that prefer public transportation, there is a bus to stop directly across the street from The Views.
One of Rockland County's favorite parks, Senator Eugene Levy Park, is just down the road from The Views. The park has walking trails, tennis and racquet ball courts, play areas and picnic areas. Conklin Farm's Orchards and Store, where you can find great fresh produce is also nearby and in season you can even "pick your own" apples and berries. For sports lovers Provident Ball Park is just a stones throw away. Besides being the home of the Boulders baseball team, its also the venue for many Town of Ramapo events.
