How Worthless is the Point of Contact Assigned a Distressed Homeowner?

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Sometimes, you've got to wonder how any bills ever make it out of the California legislature alive. After they are torn into shreds between committees, the Senate, the House, and stomped on, chewed up and spit out for breakfast. I give you, for example, the POC in the California Homeowner Bill of Rights. Well meaning, good intentions, but it seems to cause more problems than it prevents or cures as banks struggle to comply.

Elizabeth, sometime it is frustrating to deal with the point of contact (PoC) that is assigned by large banks or large financial institutions. On a rare occasion I would deal with someone who is very responsive (Did I say rare?)

I sometimes think what we are experiencing with our economic ills, and the government's attempts to remedy, as a case of Dumb and Dumber!

A timely post.  Just got an email from a Short Sale Seller today.  She was so excited to tell me she had a personal POC at the bank.  They are really not worth much.

Well now Elizabeth I think you are frustrated about something.  I also sense you would like to say things that would get you censored in this forum.  I may be wrong but I don't think so.  Besides it's done so live with it.  Have an adult beverage and calm down.  :~)

Hi Chris Ann: I think a POC is a step in the right direction for borrowers, but it doens't quite go far enough and, in some instances, it causes even more problems.

Hi James: Au contraire, sugar bear. I am never afraid to say anything. You should know that about me by now.
