I got back from a wonderful weekend in Tahoe; it’s good to get out and see the beauty around us. We are still getting brief shots of snow in March which is good. It was mostly clear this weekend and the temperatures are expected to get warmer this week.

I was able to get some shots of the area that we don’t get to see down in the foothills of the Sierras. Six foot icicles may be commonplace in your neck of the woods but not in mine. Frozen downspouts, black ice, and snow covered hillsides are something that I just love to see as a tourist.

I don’t know if I could live in these conditions; I could probably snow shovel the walk way once but not every day.  As a contractor, I looked around and wondered how it would be like to work in those conditions. I am happy to be working in the Sacramento region where the weather is not so extreme.

I did learn that the rain totals for Sacramento in the months of January and February this year is low, very low. In fact, it was the third worst rain totals since recording of the totals in the 1800’s. The snow in the mountains will help with the water supply but we are still in need of more rain.

Good morning Tom. Like you, when I travel I always wonder what it would be like to live in the area I visit. I guess it is a part of expanding and growth. Enjoy the day.

Thanks Jay. Siberia can be beautiful this time of year, but not as stunning as the Tahoe Region.

The snow makes for some great shots Roger. I think I'd rather just visit these places.
