ANSWER: Absolutely. Home buyers can buy NEW or RESALE homes of that size and in that price range in Loudoun County.
LOUDOUN COUNTY HAS MUCH TO OFFER HOME BUYERS IN THE "UNDER $500,000" PRICE RANGE.
Previewing homes in Leesburg and Ashburn in the "under $500,000 price range" was interesting. Of the six resale homes we toured Sunday, 2 are already under contract. Homes in this price range, $500,000 or less, in these eastern Loudoun County locations, are selling well and if a buyer sees one they believe will work for them, it's wise to be ready to make a decision or that home may be soon gone.
DAD HAS SOME GOOD ADVICE. First time home buyers will often seek advice from friends, relatives or co-workers. This time it was good old DAD.
FAVORING NEW HOMES OVER OLDER HOMES. In addition to the six resales we toured, we also toured one new home community in Leesburg. Not surprising, the buyers seem to favor new construction. Considering some of the defects observed in some of the resales, it's not surprising. So, when these buyers spoke with her dad and he recommended the new construction, that's a strong vote for a new home. So, now we've expanded the search to Purcellville, Round Hill and Hamilton, all within a reasonable commute of the job locations.
MEET THE BUILDER. I'll be on the road today previewing the available lots and walking the models again. I've seen them all but it is always helpful to meet with the builder's representative prior to touring with home buyers.
