YES!  At last.  The Daffodils are in Bloom.  Back in 2007, I carved out this corner of my lot for a bulb garden.  I planted Daffodils and Tulips.  Well, turns out the local deer population increased dramatically when those tulip bulbs appeared.

Yes, Daffodils are hardy and quite beautiful.  We see the everywhere in Loudoun County in April.  Many are wild, probably planted by squirrels for a winter meal and forgotten.  Then, as they do what Daffodils to, reproduce naturally (naturalize) every year, some roadsides are very colorful and lovely with wild Daffodils.

It's a springtime treat every year.

Daffodils are so pretty, bright and perky helping to push away the harsher times of winter.

Lenn: We have the same thing here. I always wondered who the "secret" gardeners were who planted them. Never would have thought about squirrels.

Can't help but smile when I see the vibrant yellow of the daffodils Lenn.  Great bulb garden.....too bad about the tulips, they are one of my favorites.

Hella.  Squirrels are responsible for a lot from the Daffodils to the mighty oaks.

Roger.  Tulips are one of my favorites too.  After that experience and a similar one with some tomato plants, which they ate from the ground up, I learned how to keep them away.

No matter.  The tulips and the tomato plants were gone.

What a welcomed sight Lenn. Especially after what feels like a long winter. You just gave us the answer to our question "why would someone plant Daffodils there?" LOL!

Daffodils, crocus and tulips really remind me of warm air of spring - time to take the jackets off and start cleaning up the beds.  Your daffodil corner is enchanting!

Al and Peggy.  Every year I await these bright yellow blossoms.  I almost have a daily vigil.

Joanna.  Thank you.  That's a lovely description.

Lenn, They're in full bloom in our yard and in the woods around us where we planted them.  Many of them have frostbitten tips due to the roller coaster weather we've had over the last few months, so just happy they're blooming at all!

Liz.  Same here.  Mine were 10 inches out of the ground when we had a 4 inch snow.

It is good to see the daffodils as we walk through the neighborhood.

Dolores and I attended the Camellia Show yesterday at Brookside Gardens.  It is beginning to feel like spring.
