Fishhawk Lake-It Happens In Nature TOO!
Yesterday, I was at the clubhouse playing with the dogs and looked out at the lake, where two ducks were tooling along side-by-side.
A moment later, I noticed flapping, as the male had jumped on top of the female, which she was not happy about. (It IS spring, I thought, maybe he was getting a bit randy). After a bit of flailing, he fell off into the water. Instantly, the two went their separate directions. Amused, I continued to watch to see who would come back to who.
Well! The female was going to the other side of the lake, where there happened to be two single males. Hmmmm, I thought, well this should be interesting. They started heading her way, she turned around soon after and made some kind of croaking sound. Her estranged partner started heading back towards her, while the males followed behind her. Her croaking sound continued as she beat feet back to her man.
The "separated" couple, met halfway, and went off together, wing in wing and she quit grousing. They left the two single fellas to fend for themselves.
Sound familiar? I thought so.
So, it's not just US. It happens in nature, TOO. They just didn't need therapy.
