15" of snow fell April 19 in Gordon WI

Here in NW Wisconsin, the winters can run long but not too often do we see this kind of snowfall this late in April 

The yardstick shows 13" on the table. 15" measured on the deck. That lake in my front yard is the St Croix Flowage. The ice is still about 30" thick. Fishing opener is two weeks away.

Jean, I remember a snow storm on April 19th years ago when I lived in Milwaukee WI.  I now live in "sunny" CA and it seems snow in April is crazy! Wishing you Spring time weather soon.

Hi Kathy. The melting is underway. I am frequently hearing the resounding whumpf of branch-size blobs of snow falling from the trees and hitting the deck and ground. Bright sunny day today. Spring is coming.
