2013 Encinitas Street Fair is this Weekend April 27 and 28
The spring weather has been fabulous, for the most part, and fair season is upon us.
Need something to do this weekend?
Encinitas will be hosting its annual 2-day outdoor street fair tomorrow and Sunday along the main drag, closing down the Coast Road 101 in downtown Encinitas from D to J Streets between 9 am and 5 pm both days.
The very popular Encinitas Street Fair always draws a good crowd, and why not, with over 450 vendors to enjoy. Like the huge street fairs in Carlsbad, they expect thousands of fair goers to descend on the town to enjoy a dizzying array of things to look at and buy, the ever-popular beer garden (adults only), the foodie tradition – the firefighters’ pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 Saturday morning, live entertainment on 4 stages, and a new kids zone at The Lumberyard with rides, a skate park
This is the 30th Annual Encinitas Street Fair, and well worth a visit. However expect crowds and parking issues so plan to arrive early and expect to walk, which is part of the fun with great weather planned.
Or, if you prefer, take The Coaster train – the train station is in the heart of Encinitas 1 block to the east of Route 101 and the downtown area. Free parking, likely to fill quickly, is at City Hall on Vulcan Avenue, at Moonlight Beach, and the 2 Coaster lots.
