The Village of 
New Lenox is found approximately 36 miles southwest of the Chicago Loop, is located in the center of New Lenox Township and the east-central portion of Will County. It encompasses an area of 15.68 square miles and now showcases a population of approximately 24, 500 people within its midst.
New Lenox was incorporated as a Village in 1946. It remained a small community surrounded by vast amounts of farmland for many years. But after the completion of the Interstate 80 interchange on its border in the early 1970's, the Village's population began rapid growth to its current size.
