Summertime fun in NW Austin in the Canyon Creek Community
If you live in the prestigious master planned community in Canyon Creek there will be many things to do to keep yourself and the kids entertained during the summer months! Canyon Creek is located on Hwy 620 between Anderson Mill Rd. and Hwy 2222. There are 1300+ residential homes nestled in the rolling hill country.
Because Canyon Creek community has a junior Olympic size pool it’s fun in the sun at the pool each and every day! Don’t forget your key pass or you won’t be admitted. If you and your kids like to play tennis there are tennis courts available which you can schedule times to play. 
There are basketball courts to play on and a trip to Trailhead Park is always fun….remember to take a picnic lunch..there are plenty of picnic tables! If you want to secure the pavilion for a summer birthday party just reserve through Goodwin Management (512- 502-7543) and it’s yours! Just remember to clean up if you want your $100 deposit back.
If hiking on natural trails strikes your fancy then start off on one of the trails right at Trail Head Park and you’ll be amazed at the bridges, trees and all that you can see. One of my favorite hikes is to visit the “spooky old tree” (my name for it). It’s a sprawling oak that many have captured a glimpse of and played under and on! You’ll even see some creative forts residents have built.
