Yesterday I let my chickens out of the pen to run around the yard and boy were they entertaining. All four hens made sure one of the other hens didn't find something they did not have. One hen would run flat out for 20-30 yds just to take a worm away from another chicken. Those hens would fuss and try to take away another's new found prize.
Another chicken would continue to run ahead of another to get to the surprizes in the grass first.
This got me to thinking that basically if we are worldly we act just like this. We try to keep up with the Jones or we get jealous if someone gets something we don't have.
As Christians we have to stay focused on Jesus Christ. He will provide all our needs so we don't have to run ahead of each other to get to the prize first.
Matt 6:33 Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
