Oozing a level of comfort, opulence that few others know.

At the last polo match, your wife was chided for hanging out sheets.

For enjoying the fresh smell of linens dried in the wind by Mother Nature.

With stern looks, snarky comments and a snide sneer hurled at your partner heard loud and clear. The thrown eye daggers hit their target.

No candy coating it. How the neighborhood ladies feel about clothes lines aired, let it all hang out in public.

And about that pickup with the diesel your husband owns, heard all about that truck parked in the yard too.

It specifically, unequivocally says "No service trucks". Period. Specifically outlined in subsection R in article 5 and addendum 3C.

Since the orange and black Uhaul truck rolled in with your possessions, family.

Yes!  That is one of many favorite things about Maine.  I don't want someone to tell me what color to paint my house or what can and cannot be in my yard.  Freedom!  We do have a few "developments" in my part of Maine, but that is usually made up of 6-8 homes on a road.  A few have tried to add deed restrictions, but then they are hard to sell.  People around here just have no tolerance for that kind of infringement on personal freedom.

Ah yes...don't use that color...you will select these shingles....lots of rules...deed restrictions...the covenants that claim to protect the residents...not for everyone...and not mainly in Maine.

Freedom....let it ring through out the neighborhood...no neighbor in sight and small town spacing means do what you want, it's up to you not code enforcement or an HOA. Every market is so so different.

Christine ... Have a brother, his wife who live in Naples. You have a few more layers of er, "rules of the road" to live there but what place with some population does not? Simple small town rural living is the place for me (Green Acres theme music up and out Jimmy please) Fade to black, it's a wrap.
