Metro Detroit home sales show an increase - yes, an increase!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty - Lakeside Market Center

Awesome timely article from Louis Aguilar of the Detroit News this morning.

The article shouts out the fact that Metro Detroit home sales in January are
UP by almost 15% from that period one year ago.

Also wonderful news? The City of Detroit led the way with a gain of 45.5%.

May I repeat that? The City of Detroit LED the way with a gain of 45.5%!

Mr. Aguilar cites his source for this information as Realcomp™ and it's participating
real estate brokers and agents.

My take?

It's about damned time that we see terrific news about our
housing market on the front page of our local newspapers.

Thank you Mr. Aguilar. Thank you VERY much.

Good News Kris!  I am glad to see my ol' stomping grounds come back.  You know you have to have a set back - before you can have a come back.  Bet you did not know I went to school up there for a while.

Kris, That is good news. I have heard from an inspector that I know in your area, that Y'all have really been getting hammered up there. Good to hear that things are starting to pick up.

Nannette:  I had no idea you went to school here!   Glad the Detroit News article made you smile this morning:-)

Michael:  The Metro Detroit area takes a "hammering" every dozen years or so.  It's a cycle for those of us who rely heavily on the auto industry.  Good things do happen though, and my goal is to make sure they get announced when they do!

Yes, I noticed that good news sees very little fan fare.  There are alot of places that need their good news horn tooted, especial Detroit.

Chris:  Thank you.  Yes, Detroit needs the "good things" tooted loudly and often.  There is so much that is truly wonderful about the Metro Detroit area, and when those who have no personal stake or interest in our area blast it they really should also see the "good" things.

Well, gee!  A local story!  Local paper!  They figured it out about all real estate being local!  And what a great sign.
