Where the dickens did that "Gold Star" come from?

I've been an active rainer for oh, 6 days now and I think I am already addicted. How is that possible? I don't even know how to insert pictures in my blogs and yet here I am writing post #3. This stuff is maddening in a fun way of course.

What has me puzzeled though is post #2, it grew a gold star on the side. Where the dickens did that come from but more importantly why is it there? I haven't had a gold star since grade school and we won't even go into how long ago that was.

So.... what is that gold star and what did I do to get it? I'm hoping (praying is more like it) that it's a good thing and I wasn't flagged or something.

And while I'm at it how DO YOU insert a picture on your posts?

If the post is remarkable in its content, relevance, and usefulness (among other attributes), it gets a star feature awarded by an AR community moderator. You get extra points and extra readership and extra comments -- all good things. If awarded in a group like the Newbie Group, there is no extra points for the post, but you get more exposure. The group moderator features the post to welcome and to recognize the author and/or the article.

To insert pictures, click on the tree icon above the text box, browse for the picture, type in a description, click on appearance (size it, orient it on your post), and insert. Good luck and enjoy the rain!

Welcome.....OK, Post #4 is probably already in the works....and now that you can insert a picture you will have to try it out. One tip though....when you go to Appearance make sure you put a number in the boxes for vertical and horizontal spaces. This will guarantee that your words do not butt up against your picture....looks better :)
