If you have not figured it out yet this is a update to an earlier post. I need your help to have relevant posts and an enjoyable visit when you go to my website. Thanks for looking.-- Tony.

OK, since I am a blogging veteran (31 days, and BTW only 25 days to spring) it is time to put this baby in second gear. Later today I have a "net head" coming over to review my web site. Currently it is a "cookie cutter" out of the box site (if you need some help on a referral for a web site, email me. For $9.95 a month it is the best deal going. They have plenty of templates for mortgage brokers and real estate agents. Includes email, live chat, flash intro). YES, I love giving away referrals read on and get gas!

While I prefer to give things away this time I need some help. Actually help me to help you. If I can not provide you a benefit I would surveynot expect you to visit my site/blog/office/family/etc. Now I know what I like and my "net head" friend knows what he like but Sagamorehm.net is not for Tony Grego - Indiana Mortgage Broker, it is for you, real estate professionals (in all fields) and for past and future clients. So I am asking what you like? Please answer these questions.

I hope to get some insight to how I can better serve my business partners, my clients, and my prospects:

  • Why did you click on this blog?
  • Many folks use plenty of pictures on blogs. Some plain text. What do prefer?
  • If a video was on a blog would you watch it?
  • What do you think of widgets?
  • What would you like to get from reading a blog?
  • Why would you click on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • What would you like to find when you click on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • What do you currently hate about clicking on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • If your an agent would you like to be able to put your listings on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • If your an home/commercial appraiser, home inspector, home stager, title company, field notary, etc. would you want to see a free listing of your services on a Mortgage Brokers Web Site?
  • Would you like to see a live video feed on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • Would you like to see video's about the loan process on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • Would do you think about a "live video" of a first time home buyers seminar on a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • What do you hate about a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?
  • What would make you return to a Mortgage Broker's Web Site?

On a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the best please tell me how you feel about the following items I see on most Mortgage Broker's Web Site
bad

  • Rates
  • Application
  • 3rd party advertisements (agents and related services)
  • Lots of different mortgage calculators
  • News Feeds
  • Meet my Team
  • Plenty of small print
  • Flash Intro
  • Live Chat

Folks, I would hope that professionals and consumers alike answer these questions. I will post modified versions this week and will post the answers next Saturday, March 1, 2008 for all to review and share. Don't worry if you miss it. I will also send out a personal email to all that respond.

gasNow, what this about GAS? I will put everone's email address in a hat that responds (limit 1 per email), Saturday 8:00 AM, EST I will do a video draw and the lucky winner will get a $25 dollar gas card mailed.

Thanks in advance for your helpty

Hi Tony,

I like your blog. Some good info and I can see that you're a smart marketer. It doesn't look like you're getting much of a response though. I've also been trying to do some market research with my blog, but didn't get much feedback. I think we have to keep it as simple/easy as possible. 1 question at a time...It may also be the timing. I'll bet certain days and time of day blogs are more effective. A lot to learn hear on AR.

Good luck from a fellow Hoosier
