Fork in the road Milan NY

This is not an illusion- you are really seeing a fork in the road.  This sculpture is usually used as a reference point when giving people directions to Red Hook or Rhinebeck.  Say, you are on the Taconic  State Parkway and would would like to get to Rhinebeck. You would get off at the Rhinebeck exit and take a left on Route 199 in Milan to the first light where the road literally forks; go left  and you would be on Route 308 which would take you to the village of Rhinebeck or continue to the right on Route 199 and you would end up in the village of Red Hook.  This is the spot you will find this fork in the road.  Yes, for years I have been meaning to take a picture but it was very difficult since it is a busy intersection but I finally did it.

Today I am sure many consumers are feeling as if they are at a fork in the road.  Spring is around the bend but based on the news reports they can't decide whether it would be a good time to buy or sell.

Keep in mind that real estate is local and the local real estate agents are in the best position to tell you about your market.

So here is the real estate activity for the town of Milan over the last four weeks. (February)

Milan is a popular area for upscale second homes,  so come spring  the market should get more active.

I also love the fork in the road.  I am sure it really gets the attention of people not from the area who were given directions to look for the fork in the road.

Modern public art, like your fork, can be very interesting and thought provoking. Soldiers on horseback are nice, but it is flatware that starts the conversations.
