Would greatly appreciate any experiences agents/brokers have had with television advertising. I'm considering it and am in the midst of research cost. Main idea would be for local name recognition and to drive viewers to our web site.
Thanks Bryant and Dan.
I wouldn't put myself in any TV ad. I have a few ideas for production that wouldn't require a human. We'll see.
I've been away for a few days at an SEO symposium. Very interesting. I'm trying to catch up and have a meeting with Comcast tomorrow.
I'm trying to get more name recognition and drive home buyers to the Homefinders.com web site. If they can produce a TV spot that I like, I'll try it for a couple of months. If they insist on a year long contract, we won't be talking for very long.
Back when I was a Realtor in Texas (1970s-1980s), I was always doing television advertising and always getting good ROI.
When I started my home inspection business here in San Diego in October 2001, I found a one-hour program about real estate that, each week, had five or six San Diego Realtor biggies each week, so I thought that would be a good place to try out a television ad. I ran a 30-second spot each week for six months. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Fast forward five years, and I've done lots of work for many of those Realtor biggies. All of them said that the program was a dismal failure for them as far as their own ROI. We all agreed that we did learn something, though: People watching television at 10:00 p.m. are not watching programs on real estate. LOL
David. Thanks. Unfortunately it didn't prove to be cost effective and after the 6 month contract, I stopped. Google is better.
