Hi Gabe, you hit the nail on the head. I know for a fact that Google makes millions off of their advertisers. It's a hugely profitable company. Also considering the size of the company. I think they have 30,000 employees and if you compare that with how much they make you can see that your statement is true.

Great post, Gabe, seriously!  I have thought the same thing in the past.  We give up so much information about ourselves and our habits, why aren't we compensated.  If you're using something and it's free (ie. the internet) than you're not the consumer, you're the product.

Too much of our information can be out there, and why I don't allow my comptuers to be mapped for location, etc...but as we are learning how much the government is involved in our "privacy" any blocks are probably useless.
