Fishhawk Lake Real Estate-The Many Treasures of Photographing Listings

When I have to take pictures of my listings it is actually one of my favorite parts of the process! This particular day I had a vacant lot that I needed to photograph. Now, some would look at this as rather mundane, but gosh, I had a GREAT TIME! The beauty of Fishhawk Lake was readily apparent and I happened upon two dear friends of mine who were hiking and they decided to join me with their dog, Jackson, whom one of them was petsitting.

One of the many discoveries was some kind of delightful flower. It looked rather tropical, and I haven't the slightest idea what it is.

Then, we found holes in the ground. Some kind of beaver left them. Jackson, the dog was quite intrigued.

Later he got into what was left of an old boat.

We found an old chest that looked like it was military, a decaying lobster mushroom that reminded me of some kind of open wound....and a tree house.

What fun this was,  all while I was "doing business"!

I love my job!

Good morning Gayle,

Yes you love your job and it shows! No wonder residents call you to list their homes..you find the character and life in their properties and showcase them to prospective buyers with heart and soul:).

Your post Gayle reminded me of the age old quotation, "Beauty is everywhere but not everyone sees it". Even photographing LAND there is much to see. Jackson finding the Beaver hole and the old boat intrigued my visual senses. With my warped mind, the chest reminded me of a rusty dumpster LOL, but I ALWAYS see the world in some backwards way from others.

I believe that flower is a lady slipper. :) Kind of looks like it anyway...

Sounds like a wonderful outing in wonderful Fishhawk Lake. What a cool lifestyle you have Gayle. ( It was fun to catch up - thanks for calling. Miss you.)

Dorie, as I travel about the lake, you are travelling much FURTHER! Thanks for taking me on that cruise even if only through your eyes after it was done...

Sheila, I know I sound like a broken record, but if you don't LOVE what you do find something else that you WILL love, right?

Kristin, I HAVE to order that movie so that I can have it in my collection...it is truly one of my favorite all time films! (And yes, it does feel like that sometimes, here and at The Thousand Islands, where I learned as a tike to appreciate the great outdoors and a simpler life).

Gary, I love that quote! (I think I could write lots of blogs on that, as I think that way as a photographer.) See the beauty in EVERYTHING and you will be a much happier person!

Debb, I sure loved catching up! (our friend, A called and she will be coming up here at some point w/hubby and wants all of us to get together...I have suggested our home for them and you to stay).
