Not the BEST way to Find a Charlottesville (VA) Rental Home

I have talked to "him" at least 4 times on the phone recently....each time, he says he is a "friend" of a prominent local architect; however, he does not know that those of us who know his architect friend call him HANK and not Henry as he refers to him.

They are moving from Florida and are totally SHOCKED by the rental home prices in our area and can not afford to rent what they really want to live in.

I'm not sure this will work for them as he is very condescending when talking to prospective landlords and I'm sure that someone has suggested that his wife may want to go back to work so that they can afford the home they REALLY WANT TO RENT FOR THEIR FAMILY!

They contacted you to ask if you were interested?!?  WOW . . . that's like a reverse offer.  I don't relocate often, but certainly wouldn't the first thing to check out would be comparable rents?  They probably could rent where they want to live, but in a smaller home.

Craigslist has since removed their post....it might have worked if they put it in the correct category and not in the rental OFFERED section....his third call I reminded him we had talked PREVIOUSLY and nothing had changed....in fact I had FEWER rental homes for them to select from

Wallace, this is what happens when you don't speak with the right Property Manager priior to moving into a new area. I give them credit for their creativity though!

Wallace: When you are a property manager, you can't get sucked into someone else's personal life or problems. You need to do the best for your landlord, and follow all the policies and procedures you have set up. If they can't meet them, sorry...
