Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

This evening I was craving something sweet. I never use to crave sweets before my gastric bypass surgery. However, now I seem to crave sweets all the time.

Tonight it was chocolate cookies so I got up and made some. They were good. I was good and ate only a small one. If I eat too many sweets I will get sick with what is called a dumping syndrome.

If you like to cook these cookies in you new home be sure to call me so that we can get started looking for that home!

It must have been something in the air yesterday.

I too had a craving for something sweet.  Nothing in the house.  So, I drove to the only place one can buy anything edible in Lovettsville, the 7-11 store.

That's right.  This month we lost our closest grocery store in Brunswich, just 2 miles from my home.  Now the closest grocery store(s) is in Purcellville, 15 miles away.

The 7-11 is reliable for snack foods and I was happy with "Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip Cookies".

Wish I could stop at one, but that ship saled.  My digestive system is like a garbage disposer.  It has no discrimation between foods as long as there's plenty of it.

How do I manage weight?  Lots of fruits, vegetables and miles on my treadmill.

Bob... Dumping syndrome is the same as being drunk. You drink too much you get drunk.... you eat too much (with gastric bypass) you get sick like if you were drunk. And you are right.... it is not a good feeling.
