TRACK 61

                  Boston's Seaport District

                                                      known as the Innovation District!

Can you imagine having a train that can connect you in minutes to the downtown area, no long walks on those icy paths to the Seaport District from Downtown Boston.

As the Seaport grows and becomes a brillant addition to our Boston landscape with major employers, large hotels, the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and of course fine - correct that - very fine restaurants, getting there has always posed a bit of a hassle.

Last January the Governor of Massachusetts included 13 Billion Dollars in our state's "WAY FORWARD" transportation plan party to the specific 100 million dollars in the Track 61 Plan.

With an anticipated fare cost to the rider of approximately $2.00 this will be well worth it.  The DMU train cars themselves cost a mere $4 million whereas the locomotive type of train would cost approximately $10 million we are told.  DMU trains are not geared to long distances and are deemed to be perfect for the short run from downtown to the Seaport.  Short run on a train but a long exhausting run on the pavement or a traffic filled ride by car or cab.

The first DMU train station is slated for outside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

This is a real positive for tourists and should allow for more conventions to be held by larger groups in Boston than ever before with modern, handy and economical transportation from the hotel areas of downtown and Copley to the Seaport.

I am very excited about this, residential housing is growing in leaps and bounds too in this Seaport - Innovation District.  It is a very desired area for both the Business Community and the Boston population for a very lively and enjoyable center of the Hub to reside in.

If you are interested in further details on residing in the Seaport or locating your business in the Innovation District I would be most happy to assist you with your relocation.  I love Boston and am just so excited to share our major innovations and accomplishments.  Come and be a part of our growing and vibrant city!   My Boston number is 617-921-3636.  My direct email is MaryBeth@TradeWindsRealtyGroup.com and please visit our website http:www.TradeWindsREaltyGroup.com.
