Rebecca's Goals for 2013, Social Media Sites

We were asked to write our business plan or goals for 2014 for the January Cloudburst 2014. So, I'll list my goals that I would like to complete this year for my business.

Two years ago I got a wordpress website, but now it seems I need to update this site, do some cleanup and perhaps change the format. Another big goal for me is to check out my social media sites... Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube, and Pinterest ... to ensure I am marketing myself and my business effectively. I've missed the AR boot camps on social media, blogging, etc., and will try harder this year to make an effort to attend these free on-line courses. These courses can help me meet my goals.

As far as Facebook, I now have a FanPage, Business Page, a community (Greenbrier Pines) group page, and the Greenbrier Board of Realtors page. I need to keep up on all the changes and quite frankly haven't done such a great job. So I will be reading a lot of FB reviews, papers, etc., and the AR Facebook groups like "Facebook Tips", and of course, "Facebook Fridays" where Anita helps members to get more LIKES and always has tips on FB.

LinkedIN, I add my AR posts to this site which is also sent to Twitter. I receive a lot of endorsements on LinkedIN and try to reciprocate. I am guessing that is the protocol. I'm not on this site to long, and need to better my social media marketing presence.

Twitter, I may go to this site once a week. My AR posts are linked to Twitter from my LinkedIN account. I don't believe I've ever written a "tweet"... have you?

YouTube has made changes and I really haven't done a video in almost a year. I need to review the changes and start back on my video making.

When I joined Pinterest two years ago...I was on this site everyday and adding my listings. But, I got burned out quickly with this social media site. I know there have been many changes and I need to jump back in with both feet.

Google+ - here again I add my AR posts, read some posts, but do not spend much time on this site.

So, these are my goals...delve into my social media sites, learn all the new changes and start to market myself and my business more effectively. Check out Rebecca's Vision Board for 2013 and see what plans I have this year.

Good for you. BTW, I would check to see if your LI posts are still going to Twitter. I think they may have disabled this a while back, so check it. Regardless, you can use hootsuite to simultaneously post to both. Using G+ can have the biggest impact on your SEO out of all of them.

It looks like you will have a very busy year. All of my blogs are posted on Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ and most of them are posted on Facebook.

The photographs that I use in blogs are also posted on Pinterest. Pinterest, by the way, is a wonderful resource for recipes.

I stopped Pinterest a while ago, Rebecca, I found it overwhelming with all the other things to do. All my blogs get posted on all those that you mentioned. several of us do follow Fridays on Twitter. I'll add you. I haven't just tweeted but I do retweet and reply and my blogs go out automatically from my FB page.
