Flood from broken pipe closes Gaithersburg microbrewery

A broken pike that causes a closure of a microbrewery.  Now, there's a tragedy:-)

Broken pipes really can cause allot of damage, in this case especially. Best wishes on getting this one back on line!

Roy, Freezing weather wreaks havoc on pipes, that is for sure!  I hope that they are able to get everything up and running quickly!

Roy- it's not just the cold weather and traffic delays, it's also frozen pipes.  Stay warm. 

So sad to hear of this type of damage caused by cold winter weather.  Good thing the brewmaster is stil working for those beer lovers!

What a shame, Roy. That's a popular place and will be missed by many. I hope the community welcomes the re-opening with a huge show of support.

Sounds like a lot of damage Roy, too bad someone couldn't have recognized the situation and prevented this disaster.

That had to be some serous freezing to cause structural damage Roy.

Roy, never a good thing to face frozen pipes! We don't face that danger in Southwest Florida. Today will be in the mid 80's! Enjoy your day!

Now, that's a shame, Roy.  Especially for those that were counting on this brewery.

Oh no!! Frozen pipes are such a threat in our climates and so many businesses have been impacted during this very long and cold winter.  Hopefully they will be able to fix it up in time for summer when beer is so popular!

A frozen pipe is never fun. I am expecting all sorts of messes in future REo homes that were not winterized when it warms up.

Roy, I think this is happening in many locations with these very frigid temps.    We have been hovering in the single digits and well below zero at night.  BRRR!

Sad to hear someone having this kind of trouble, especially in these trying financial times. Hope everything turns out well for the brewery and restaurant. And Roy, love the photos of the chrysanthemums. Tired of seeing winters dirty snow, colorless trees, and an absent golden sun; nice to see the color yellow again.
