The Web was full of great real estate resources this month. Here are a few that we highlighted on our Facebook and Twitter pages, plus some fun from our studio!

Studio Update

Remember those artist training videos I mentioned last month? Our creative director, studio manager, and head trainer stepped into the studio this month to film an intro and try out new background and lighting effects. They got some amazing results. Check out this shot from their work on the intro.

Scam Alert

Realtor Magazine reported just last week that scammers are trying to get new homeowners to pay upwards of $80 for property records that are actually free. First-time homebuyers, who may not be familiar with the real estate process, are especially vulnerable to this scam. Please warn your clients!

Handling Staging Problems With Clients

Ever have trouble convincing clients to stage their homes? ActiveRain member Suzanne Otto, a professional stager, has some great suggestions for responding to client's objections to staging. She covers some of the most common issues, including cleaning up clutter, rearranging furniture, and painting.

Web Customization on a Budget

Got a website or blog you'd like to customize, but not sure you can afford it? Laura Monroe of Inman Next has written a helpful primer on how to frugally redesign your website using WordPress themes. She also shares how to make your site do just what you want it to do. Her article demystifies widgets, SEO, mobile browsing, and a host of other factors that can be confusing for the average person.

Instant Real Estate

And here's something just for fun: National Geographic reported this month on a new construction material called concrete canvas. It allows people to build homes and other structures in a fraction of the time required for traditional construction. Click through to watch their Weird Science host put together a building.
