Nothing like waking up at 7 am to a wonderful grinding/vibrating sound coming from your kitchen. Especially after having been awake at 4 am and not going back to sleep until 6 am. I had moved to the couch so as to not disturb my wife and was rudely awakened by said sound.
Nothing like walking around the house in a (lack of) sleep induced fog trying to track the 'wonderful' noise. It sure sounds like the fridge! Opening up the freezer side to check the ice maker. Hmmm, not any louder with freezer door opened. Maybe it isn't the fridge!
Slowly turning around trying to pin the noise down. Definitely louder in the kitchen than in the living room. Move to the master bedroom. Really can't hear the noise in there, which is odd since it shares a wall with the fridge. Okay, definitely not the fridge! YEAH!
Back to the kitchen. Hmm, into the breakfast nook. Wow getting really loud there. Wait the sound is coming from OUTSIDE!
Oh my gosh, the neighbor's pool contractor is pumping rain water out of the hole in preparation of spraying the gunite in their new pool. Seriously? It is 37 degrees outside and they felt the need to start at 7 am?
At least I don't need to fix anything else!
Hello Than ... Thank God it wasn't your frig and pools that run below the intake for the pump can burn it out and be very costly for your neighbors.
