You get an offer on a listing the 2nd day it is on the market. The home is listed for $629,000 and the offer is $559,000. You get the seller to counter offer at $620,000 and the buyer does another counter offer at $579,000. The seller will not come down anymore even $5000.
What would you do?
1. Speak to the selling agent and tell her to have her clients submit a best and final offer.
2. Give the seller some time to understand that many times your first offer is your best offer.
3.market the property more and do more open houses to create more interest and hopefully get another buyer at a higher price.
4. Cancel the listing. The seller is unreasonable and stubborn.
